Widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in China's electronic music scene, ZHANGYE is a producer/DJ, founder of Cyanhill Music, and the driving force behind CHINA EDM. He has brought together China's leading and emerging DJs and producers to pioneer a new era for Chinese electronic dance music. Often referred to as the "Godfather of Chinese EDM," his work has earned widespread global recognition.
A graduate of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, ZHANGYE combines rigorous classical training with deep artistic sensibility. His creative vision is further shaped by years of experience in the commercial world, bringing together sharp business acumen and a distinctive global perspective.
Specializing in styles such as Dance, House, and Electropop, ZHANGYE consistently leads as the primary creative force (first bill) in collaborations with top international artists, including Bassjackers, Ummet Ozcan, Zhou Shen, and Janieck, among others.
His tracks frequently top mainstream music charts, with Own Way surpassing 5 billion plays on TikTok China.

Inspired by the collaborative spirit of Western electronic music, ZHANGYE and Cyanhill Music launched CHINA EDM in 2024. The project's debut compilation, CHINA EDM Vol. 1, marked a milestone in the evolution of Chinese electronic music.

The album features standout tracks from four of China's top producers—BEAUZ (宝藏), CORSAK (胡梦周), Panta.Q (郭曲), and WILLIM (缪维霖)—while also spotlighting emerging talent selected from hundreds of submissions. Together, these works reflect the depth, diversity, and creative momentum of China's electronic music scene.
CHINA EDM Vol. 1 received an overwhelming response upon release, both in China and abroad. The compilation earned extensive media attention, drew praise from international DJs, and achieved strong global chart performance. In its first week, 8 out of 9 tracks entered the QQ Music electronic charts, with 5 tracks landing in the Top 10. The album was nominated for Best Electronic Album at the 2024 TME Wave Music Awards, and its standout single Rather Lie won the Best Electronic Song of 2024. These achievements mark a defining moment for Chinese EDM on the international stage—and affirm CHINA EDM's role in shaping its future.
